The Network Video Record (NVR) software is installed on the PC, which allows it to simultaneously record live images from the cameras connected to the
DVR as a secondary back up. NVR can connect to more than one DVR so it can backup multiple DVRs
at once.
The benefits for using the optional NVR software are dual-back up, failsafe operation and increased storage capacity. For big users like councils NVR enables the police to take away massive amount of video data after major incidents without necessitating the removal of actual DVRs.
Please note that while it is possible to use this software over a wide area network, the amount of data being transferred could seriously degrade the performance of the software and your WAN. Therefore, we recommend you use this software on a local area network only.
The NVR Software is an optional extra to the alienPro.
