Remote Real-Time Viewing & Playback
From anywhere in the world, you can see live or recorded image from the Alien Pro DVR. You can even hear sound too!
Using H264 compression technology the alienPro is one on the best DVRs available for remote real-time monitoring over the internet. This means that you can keep an eye on your business wherever you are. From a head office, you can monitor all your stores, factories etc in real time!

Control Devices Remotely
Using the remote control relays, you can connect to the alienPro DVR via a PC or laptop and switch up to 4 relays on or off.
These relays can control lights, sounders, gates, bell boxes or other suitable devices connected to the relays.
For example, you may see an intruder on site and want to warn them off by triggering a sounder from the comfort of your office or home miles away.
Easy to Use Client Software
The IPpowerVision client software is easy to use with its intuitive and friendly layout.
Supplied free with the DVR it enables uses to remotely connect to the alienPro over a local area network or over he Internet.
Users can see live images, playback recorded ones even control PTZ cameras or switch on lights!. Often the alienPro may be installed in a “safe location” and users access the DVR menus and watch realtime images solely via a networked PC. Password protection allows complete control of user rights.
Control Over PTZ Cameras Locally & Over the Internet
The Alien Pro DVR can be used as a method for the CCTV operator to control Pan-Tilt-Zoom cameras
on the system. This can be carried out using the DVR itself instead of a keypad or using the Client software on a
PC.
The client software, IpPowervision, allows control over the Alien DVR either on a Local Area network within a company or building & over the Internet.
The DVR is compatible with most PTZ protocols including the ever popular Pelco P & D. In other words, the DVR and its software can be used to control most existing PTZ cameras and domes on the market.
Example - The factor owner can use his broadband at home to connect to the DVR at work and zoom into an area if something suspicious is seen.
Multiple DVRs Managed as One
The IpPowerVision software allows simultaneous connection to multiple DVRs. Images from separate
DVRs can be displayed on a single screen on your PC or laptop.
For example, - A head office of a retail chain could view images from up to 16 of its branches simultaneously. See & hear live video & audio from your shops and other key locations. The combination of the Alien DVR and IpPowerVision software means a busy manager can visit any or all of his sites in realtime with the click of a mouse.
Allocate Different User Levels & Rights
Totally flexible you can set up users and user rights to suit your application.
- Admin user
- You may assign key people full or part admin rights enabling them to make any changes to the configuration or set up to the DVR
- Engineer
- You may assign an engineer full or part admin rights so that they can make changes to the DVR but may not see key cameras or sensitive video data.
- Managers
- You can assign managers different rights so that they could perhaps see live images and also playback images from all or selected cameras. Its possible to hide cameras from any user.
- Staff
- You may let all staff see live images from the cameras in a reception and car park and hide all other cameras to prevent wasteful screen staring or to hide &covert& cameras being discovered.
Multi-layered Electronic Mapping of Sites
eMaps can be embedded in to the superb Alien DVR client software to enable the user an easy way
to select and see images from a camera in simple & intuitive graphical user interface.
Think of the emap as a building schematic or pictorial representation of the site where CCTV is installed overlaid with the CCTV camera locations.
Using the mouse you can click on a camera enabling live images from it to be displayed, if it's a PTZ camera you could also control its movement.
You can have exterior emaps, interior emaps overall site emaps even individual room emaps! This ultra flexible approach makes monitoring the largest CCTV site to the smallest effortless.
